Mels kelso's are Duke hulsey Fowl. Some come yellow legged, but most now days are bred toward's the dark Red ,white legged side, they come Sraight comb and also peacomb. Good cutting fowl with a good amount of power. Great crossed over mel's Blacks,Greys or hatch's. in its straight form I find them late maturing or should I say they show better as bullstag or cock's ,but when crossed with the blacks,hatchs or greys,they could be used as stags. Could be showN straight ,but u get more fireworks when Crossed.

In the PI, JRA Gamefarm has the Mel Sims Kelso. They are wine red in color, white legged and straight c., and yes they originated from Duke Hulsey. Mel Sims was one of Duke's handler. Ray Apostol (JRA Gamefarm) has the authentic Mel Sims blood lines and you can no longer get any fowls directly from MS. His Kelsos are cool headed, heavy fowls and have vertical abilities and have good timing too..

davao has a lot of mel sims kelso breeders. I got some 15 stags last month and let us see their performance in the next few weeks. One thing for sure they are heavy hitters. But i find the round head melsims cross better

3 weeks ago I bought a trio from skinny after I got them I call him back and bough the last 2 pullets he got left. Mel sim kelso style almost his black but with style and have more ability I think. They all kinda rush in but smarter then the black. Skinny said 95 percent of his kelso r going to pi. I like them.
